Who you are dealing with

Mooncore is a UK sole trader building websites, online shops and apps for small businesses. “You” means the business commissioning the work.

Quotes

Every quote is a fixed price for a written scope. It lists what is included, what it costs and when it will be finished. A quote is valid for 30 days.

If you later want something outside that scope, it is quoted separately before any work starts on it. Nothing gets added to your bill without you agreeing to it first.

Payment

Payment is in three stages, tied to real milestones:

• 50% to book the build and confirm your start date
• 25% when you approve the design
• 25% before the site goes live

Payment is by bank transfer, due within 14 days of each invoice. Mooncore is not VAT registered, so there is no VAT to add - the price quoted is the price paid.

Monthly plans are billed monthly or yearly, and can be cancelled at the end of any billing period. There is no minimum term, no notice period and no cancellation fee.

What you need to give me

Usually your services and prices, contact details, any wording and photos you already have, and examples of sites you like. Work cannot start until the content it needs exists, and a project held up waiting on content may need its launch date moving.

Timescales

A simple site can be live within days. Most small business sites take about a week. Larger builds - shops, apps, custom software - run up to six weeks or longer, and the agreed timescale is on your written quote.

Timescales assume you come back on designs and questions within a couple of working days. If a project goes quiet at your end, the launch date moves accordingly.

Changes and revisions

Your quote states how many rounds of changes are included, and that covers the normal back and forth. Reasonable tweaks after launch are included too. A change of direction - a different design, a feature that was never in the scope - is quoted separately.

What you own

On final payment, the site and its content are yours. Your domain is registered in your own name from the start and stays that way. Any app is published under your own developer accounts.

Mooncore retains ownership of its own reusable framework, components and internal tooling - the general-purpose building blocks used across projects. That does not affect your ownership of your site, and does not restrict what you do with it.

Third-party components, fonts and services remain under their own licences, which are passed on to you as part of the build.

Hosting

Hosting is included with every build at no monthly cost. If you ever want to move elsewhere, your files are handed over and you get help pointing the domain wherever you want it. There is no lock-in.

Support plans

Care and support plans are optional and separate from the build. If you cancel one, you keep the site and your hosting is unaffected, because hosting comes with the build rather than the plan. What stops is the plan itself - monitoring, backups, integration upkeep and content changes. You will always be told what will stop before it does.

Cancellation

You can cancel a project at any time. The deposit covers the slot booked and work already done, and is non-refundable once a build has started. Anything invoiced but not yet worked on will not be charged.

Mooncore may decline or end a project - for instance if it turns out to be substantially different to what was described. If that happens, you are refunded for anything paid but not delivered.

Search engines

Every site is built so search engines can read it properly: clear titles and descriptions, fast loading, a submitted sitemap. Nobody can honestly guarantee a position in Google’s results, and anyone who does is guessing. What is guaranteed is that nothing about the build is holding you back.

Liability

Work is carried out with reasonable skill and care. Mooncore is not liable for lost profits, lost business or indirect losses, and total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you have paid for the work in question. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud, which cannot be limited by law.

Third-party services a site depends on - payment providers, email, mapping, hosting - occasionally have outages of their own. Those are outside Mooncore’s control, though a care plan means somebody is watching for them.

Showing your work

Mooncore may list a completed project as an example, with a link. Say the word and it will not be, no reason needed.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
